What HardhatBound is (and isn't)

HardhatBound gives you exam preparation, state-by-state licensing roadmaps, and a directory of training programs — free.

Just as important, here's what we are not:

Who can use HardhatBound

You must be 13 or older to create an account. If you're 13–17, some features (like being discoverable to employers) additionally require a parent or guardian's consent, as described in our Privacy Policy.

The free promise

Your roadmap and your study record are free. HardhatBound makes its money from employers, not from the people learning a trade — you are not the customer here, and you never foot the bill.

Your account

Keep access to your email — it's how you sign in. You're responsible for what happens on your account. We can suspend or delete accounts that abuse the service: cheating or manipulating study stats, scraping or copying content, harassing others, impersonating someone, or attempting to break the platform.

Our content

The questions, explanations, roadmaps, and everything else on HardhatBound are ours. You can use them for your own learning as much as you like. You can't copy, republish, scrape, or sell them.

Accuracy — and a warning worth reading

Licensing rules, fees, and program costs change. We source every requirement from official state authorities and every program cost from the school's own published figures, and we keep them updated — but always verify with the official authority or school before paying money or submitting an application. Links to the official sources are on every roadmap step. Nothing on HardhatBound is legal advice.

Liability

HardhatBound is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses arising from your use of the service, from decisions you make based on it, or from interactions with employers or training programs you find through it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can't legally be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top always tells you the current version. If you keep using HardhatBound after a change, that's acceptance of the new terms.
